Growth101: Begins Now
So you want to understand the truth behind growing your beard?🤔
We could cut this all short and just say its all about age and genetics...Done! But it is more to it than just that. We got you so you don't have to grow it alone. The beard as we see it grows in three phases: The anagen, the catagen, and the telogen phase. Each one causes a different effect towards how your beard grows. Let's dive in to these a little more....👇🏽
The Anagen phase
This is the most active phase of beard growth where the beard hair can grow rapidly in about 28days. Usually what occurs is that the new hair pushes the old hair that has stopped growing or ended its anagen phase up the follicle and eventually out. This why some folks have shorter beard growth results and some have longer because this phase is the active growth phase.
The Catagen phase
During this phase most of the active hair has stopped growing and the root sheathe shrinks attaching to the root of the hair.
The Telogen phase
This phase is the final stage of the beard hair as it is at its final form. Usually if you were to pull a strand of beard hair out it will have a solid, hard, dry, white material at the root
